A Little About Me

Hi, I’m Jennifer, I'm so happy you are here!  I look forward to meeting and supporting you on your feeding journey, whatever that might look like!

I have personal experience with breastfeeding twins, breastfeeding our special needs child, pumping, and extended breastfeeding. Each feeding journey has been unique and special, and my desire to help others led me to start Leading Lactation.

I have a medical background, working for 7 years as a labor and delivery nurse and 2 years as an emergency room nurse.  I recently went back to school to become an IBCLC and obtained a certification in perinatal mental health.

I am easy going, patient, optimistic, enjoy meeting new people and believe we all have a story to share, and that story could in turn, help another.  I enjoy being a mom to our six children, jogging, reading, and netflix.  I love margaritas......I mean Mexican food ha, and a good laugh.

My values

Empathy, Education, Empowerment

When interacting with families, I believe it is critical to listen and understand with empathy. Every feeding challenge is unique, and I strive to create a safe and inclusive atmosphere to discuss medical and emotional concerns.  Through my qualifications and experiences, we will work together to educate each other and develop a plan.  My ultimate goal as a lactation consultant is to empower families by equipping them with the necessary tools and guidance, so they have the ability and confidence to achieve their feeding goals.

As a medical professional and lactation consultant, I strive to provide holistic, evidence based support and care in an empathetic, educational, and empowering manner.
